Senior Major Gifts Officer

Remote · Durham, North Carolina, United States · Development

Description

What if you could help bring hope to individuals facing the biggest health challenge of their lives? What if you could help them tangibly change the odds for themselves or a loved one? What if, in doing so, you could enable some of the brightest minds in science to develop innovative new drugs with the potential to impact not just one disease, but dozens? What if the work you did was a part of pioneering more efficient and effective ways to develop treatments for rare diseases?

At the Chordoma Foundation, we help patients and families dealing with chordoma - a rare bone cancer - take on their disease armed with the support and collective wisdom of the world's leading medical experts and as well as a community of peers. At the same time, we help doctors, researchers and companies work together to develop better treatments for the disease. Now, with five drugs in clinical trials, and new, even more powerful drugs in development, we are on the cusp of changing the prognosis for individuals with this disease.

As Senior Major Gifts Officer at the Chordoma Foundation you would help to accelerate the development of better treatments and enable more patients to benefit from our resources and services by inspiring greater philanthropic investment in support of our mission. Your primary goals would be to increase giving among current major donors, and to expand the Foundation’s base of support by securing major gifts from new donors. You would be supported by a strong development back office, robust infrastructure and technology, collaborative and dedicated teammates, and a highly engaged board of directors.
